It was Oscar Sunday, the wife was gushing over Cate Blanchett’s dress, so I had to cook up something good. Because I had a pretty heavy meal the night before, I dived into a healthy taco salad with ground turkey as the protein. The key to any good taco salad? Use fresh ingredients, make a tangy vinagrette, and go nuts with the garnishes!
Step 1: Ingredients (#tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeño, lime, avocado, romaine lettuce, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground turkey, tortilla chips)
Step 2: prepare taco meat (sauté onion, garlic, and chili powder, ground turkey, then add tomato sauce and simmer)
Step 3 Last Step: toss lettuce w vinaigrette of lime, jalapeño, garlic, and cilantro , top w turkey and sprinkle w tomato, avocado, cheese, tortilla chips and sour cream, Enjoy!
